Health Minister Masoud Pezeshkian in a letter to Majlis Speaker Mahdi Karrubi on Wednesday thanked the deputies for paving the way for discussion of the problems of the health sector.

Pezeshkian said that health sector officials had been encouraged to provide better services to the people by the fact that the Majlis had voted to keep the health minister in office during the recent impeachment vote.

The health minister also vowed that he would struggle to remove the shortcomings in the sector with the assistance of the Majlis and the government.
